Meet The Crew
On the tree lined streets of New York’s
historic Christopher Street, lies the landmark metaphysical store, “Stick
Stone and Bone.” In existence for almost seventeen years, this
store’s friendly and helpful staff have become like a second family to
its legion of loyal customers who come from all over the world to shop in
its magical environment. In fact “family” is an appropriate word when
it comes to describing the Stick Stone and Bone team, as
most folks who shop here think owners, Yolanda and Linda,
and long time assistants, Heather and Lee, are really
related - that says a lot about the special chemistry at work when these
four are together.
The store itself is like an enchanted cavern of
mystical delights, with its shelves of sparkling crystals and its walls
decorated with dream catchers, medicine wheels, and beautiful feathers. A
sizable metaphysical book collection and a selection of “New Age” and
Native American CD’s add to its eclectic inventory, along with a small
Egyptian section. Add to this, cases of the finest cut and polished
mineral specimens, crystal animals, a liberal helping of deity statues,
and a large selection of jewelry…the list of treasures in this store
just goes on and on.
Let us not forget, there’s a smell of incense that
greets everyone who enters and begs them to ask time and time again, “What
are you burning?” The time honored answer being, “Nothing - it’s
just the smell of the store,” - and it is - or at least it is the smell
of the wealth of incense and sage that fills out the rest of our
stores’ abundant nooks and crannies. So now that you know the basics,
let’s take a closer look at the people behind this landmark lair….
YOLANDA
Co-owner of this crystal cavern, Yolanda has
been collecting crystals since childhood and once even graded diamonds for
a living. Yolanda’s strength is her wonderful childlike
enthusiasm for what she does. She has a deep connection with people and is
a natural empath. Part Native American, she is a great lover of nature and
has a vast knowledge of both Shamanism and the crystal kingdom.
LINDA
Co-owner of Stick Stone and Bone, Linda
holds a Masters degree in Psychology from Columbia University, and has
been studying metaphysics and human behavior for many years. Linda,
is also a natural empath who has a way of connecting with people and
influencing them in a positive way. Like her business partner, Linda
also has a great connection to crystals and knowledge of their healing
properties.
HEATHER
Heather is the store manager and has a great
passion for metaphysics and science. She is extremely well read on the
science and practice of many healing modalities and spiritual practices. Heather
is also a great crystal collector with vast knowledge of their use.
LEE
Prior to her work in the store, Lee was a
widely published writer for magazines and newspapers in the UK. Her work
including such diverse subjects as music, film, fitness, nutrition, and
bodybuilding. On joining the Stick Stone and Bone team, she
quickly gained knowledge of crystals and crystal healing. She is a born
communicator and uses both that and her humor to connect with and help
people in the store.
MICHELLE
Michele is the newest
recruit to the Stick Stone and Bone team. However, she is
hardly new to the world of metaphysics and healing. A Reiki Master along
with a proven track record, Michele is another born communicator.
In common with all the store staff, Michele has a wonderful talent
for connecting with people and assisting them in a way that makes them
feel totally at ease with her.
